JOB DESCRIPTIONS Apprentice:Assists in all phases of concrete work under supervision of a journeyman orsuperintendent. Follow all company safety rules. Required tools & equipment suppliedby the employee: heavy duty work gloves, rubber boots, safety glasses, ear protection,rain gear, hard hat, tool belt with hammer, pliers, tape measure. Responsible for dailycleanup of jobsites. Range of hourly pay before deductions: $20-$28 per hour,depending on experience and performance. Journeyman:Works independently under supervision of the field superintendent. Ability to performall work required to place concrete: read plans, layout foundations, fabricate rebar, setforms, place anchor bolts and hold downs, supervise pours. Supervises laborers.Responsible for compliance with company safety rules, for self and others on site.Required tools & equipment supplied by employee: heavy duty work gloves, rubberboots, safety glasses, ear protection, rain gear, hard hat, tool belt and hand toolsnormally required for this work, including skill saws. Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the Chief Estimator this position is responsible for the leadership and preparation of complete estimates and proposals, utilizing documents ranging from concept sketches to complete construction drawings and specifications. Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the Chief Estimator this position is responsible for the leadership and preparation of complete estimates and proposals, utilizing documents ranging from concept sketches to complete construction drawings and specifications. 

 Duties & Responsibilities: 

+ Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements, setting priorities. 

+ Prepares construction estimate by studying construction plans and specifications, identifying and projecting costs for each item of work. 

+ Review and understand bid documents prior to bid day to assist estimating support staff in their preparation and completion. 

+ Identify, solicit, and obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors. 

+ Visit proposed project site prior to completing estimate when possible. 

+ Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 

+ Assist PM/PE and Overall Project team with project buyout on successful bids. Coordinate with design teams to help develop and interpret design concepts during design build pursuits and communicate that information to the rest of the team. 

+ Implement advanced knowledge of estimating software including estimate setup, cost reviews, and bid pricing. 

+ Assist in the development of technical proposals for design build and other alternate procurement projects. 

+ Maintains quality service by following organization standards. 

+ Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. 

 Required Skills & Abilities:

+ Experience with Bluebeam Revu Software 

 Work Environment: 

 This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. At times this position will travel to view projects prior to estimating with a company car. 

 Physical Requirements: 

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, although a stand-up desk is offered. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch and must frequently use fine hand manipulation (keyboarding). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position. At times this position may need to traverse on a job site location to view a project prior to estimating; ability to traverse on un-even ground is required.
