We are hiring for a Field Survey Technician to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Milton, DE . The Survey Technician supports the land surveying team by processing incoming data and producing final project deliverables. In this entry-level role, you will provide office production support across survey activities and assist both office and field staff under the direction of the Senior Survey Project Manager. Primary Responsibilities: <ul><li> Process survey data using current CAD standards; evaluate accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable professional standards under the direction of your supervisor and a licensed professional </li><li> Monitor field crew production and provide quality assurance support </li><li> Research historical maps, land records, prior surveys, and title reports </li><li> Prepare survey computations, staking/control exhibits, and crew instructions for construction staking and field survey projects </li><li> Prepare cadastral maps, existing-conditions plans, and plats from field and office data using AutoCAD Civil 3D </li><li> Perform initial quality control of field deliverables in accordance with standards and best practices </li><li> Coordinate with your supervisor to ensure client-specific requirements are met </li><li> Assist as a field technician, as needed, to complete survey fieldwork </li><li> Maintain professional, productive working relationships with clients and coworkers </li><li> Follow established safety and security procedures </li></ul> Basic Requirements: <ul><li> Associate degree or certificate in Land Surveying or Engineering preferred </li><li> Prior experience in land surveying, consulting, or the construction industry preferred </li><li> Ability and willingness to learn survey operations, principles, and practices </li><li> Working knowledge of engineering plans and construction documents </li><li> Understanding of office workflow processes and problem-solving techniques </li><li> Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD or similar applications are a plus </li><li> Proficiency in technical math, geometry, and trigonometry </li><li> Basic oral and written communication skills </li><li> Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook </li></ul> Why Pennoni?
