Essential Job Responsibilities and Role of the Building Superintendent The Building Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building maintenance, safety and systems operations. This includes the following responsibilities: • Perform regular inspections of the building and grounds to identify and address maintenance and safety issues. • Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and general building upkeep. • Respond to residents and staff inquiries, requests, and emergencies promptly and professionally. • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections, as well as apartment turnover preparations. • Collaborate with support staff to ensure the overall well-being and satisfaction of residents. • Required to reside in the designated apartment within the building.
