They may receive direction from certified trades people such as Electricians, Heavy Duty Mechanics, Instrumentation Specialists, Insulation Specialists, Machinists, Millwrights, Steamfitters, Tinsmiths, and Welders, and may works under some direct supervision. <br/><br/>This is a field-based role with frequent work in open environments with extremes of heat and cold, often in proximity to high voltage and/or chemicals, which requires safety accommodations such as protective clothing and equipment.  This role is subject to callouts for work associated with Plains field operations and/or emergency response. <br/><br/>Job Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Performance of all Junior E&I Technician responsibilities and work tasks with minimal supervision.</p></li><li><p>Works independently; <p>The primary focus of a <strong>Fleet Specialist</strong> is to execute on various day to day activities to ensure vehicles are rental ready in both status and location. This individual will coordinate processes such as registration, inventory, staging, and tracking non-retable vehicles for a specific site.</p><p>The <strong>Fleet Specialist</strong> will also split their time between an office setting and outside. Working with vehicles outside, utilizing handheld EAM enabled devices. They will also be handling emails, report generation and review, as well as some meetings.</p><p><strong>Wage</strong>: $15 hourly </p><p><strong>Key-result Areas</strong>:</p><ul><li>Coordinate the activities required to make vehicles rental/sale ready such as inspections and registrations, as well as execute to complete these functions</li><li>Review VAW variance of their site to resolve cars improperly coded</li><li>Help organize the staging of vehicles on lot to ensure that quick action is taken for vehicles based on their status, including scanning with mobile devices</li><li>Review non-rentable units (out of service) and fleet levels, working with the Pool Fleet Manager to resolve status issues and get cars back on the road</li><li>Ensure all vehicles are marked with the Quadrant system and follow up on cars aging based upon window markings/No Rev reporting</li><li>Inventory vehicles and monitoring asset control points, ensuring that current fleet is properly monitored</li><li>Adding new asset tags to incoming new fleet and receiving vehicles in EAM</li><li>Responsible for the completion of Administrative duties such as data entry, responding to emails, viewing reports, closing work orders, and attending conference calls</li><li>Will coordinate transportation and car haulers, including scanning of Non-Revenue moves</li></ul><p><strong>Educational Background: </strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Professional Experience: </strong></p><ul><li>Prior experience in the car rental industry preferred.</li><li>Prior asset control experience preferred.</li><li>Prior logistic or transportation experience preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge: </strong></p><ul><li>Must have ability to work with computers and tablets</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook</li><li>Must have the ability to navigate GPS mapping application and follow guided directions</li></ul><p><strong>Skills: </strong></p><ul><li>Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail</li><li>Must be adaptable and flexible, ability to quickly change direction and focus</li><li>Must be self-starter with ability to work autonomously</li><li>Must be able to work in inclement weather outdoors</li><li>Must be flexible for scheduling.
