Seeking a Manufacturing Robotics Automation Engineer to lead automation and robotics solutions for missile and fire control manufacturing. Position:         Maintenance Worker IDepartment:  Wastewater Treatment PlantReports To:    Crew Leader IIIFLSA Status:  Non- Exempt Pay:               $15.05 per hourDESCRIPTIONResponsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment critical to the efficient functioning of the treatment facility. This role plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation of equipment and systems essential for wastewater treatment processes.QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li style="text-align:justify">High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional technical education or certification in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation maintenance preferred.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Proven experience in industrial maintenance is required, preferably in a wastewater treatment or similar process industry.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Must possess a valid Driver's License (Class C) at time of placement.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<ul><li style="text-align:justify">Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, including troubleshooting techniques and repair procedures.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics to interpret equipment specifications and diagnose issues.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and vendors.</li></ul>MAJOR DUTIES<ul><li style="text-align:justify">Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, conveyors, blowers, and control systems, to minimize downtime and optimize performance.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform corrective repairs using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and schematics to identify and address root causes of issues.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential problems, safety hazards, and maintenance needs, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions as necessary.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and upgrades, collaborating with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Provide training and guidance to plant personnel on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety practices to promote skill development and knowledge sharing.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>This position is an essential service position and will require providing services during emergency situations.Visit our website <a href="http://www.cityoflufkin.com" rel="nofollow">www.cityoflufkin.com</a> or contact the Human Resources Department at Lufkin City Hall, 300 E.
