Under general direction, the Manager, Accounting plans, develops and organizes the operations of the Accounting section of Fiscal Services and is responsible for the proper recording of District and College funds, accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, monitoring cash position of the District and other funds, and banking operations; manages accounting functions including maintenance of programs, grants, records, and ledgers in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures; coordinates and executes the District's year-end close and participates in the annual financial audit; provides expert professional assistance and guidance to executive management and College Fiscal Service departments on fund accounting and other fiscal matters; and performs other related duties as assigned. Serves as a subject-matter expert for Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) Financial modules and all related interfaces; works with ETS to configure and administer updates to Chart of Accounts, financial inputs, systems, and dashboards; tests system updates and releases; researches and resolves technical system problems in consultation with ETS and software vendors; organizes and conducts user training on new features and changes in workflows and processes.
