SUMMARY OF DUTIES Under general supervision of the Director of Communications or designee, performs advanced and complex technical duties in the production and reproduction of printed and digital materials utilizing high-speed digital printing, graphic design, page-layout, image-editing, and bindery equipment and software; serves as the technical working lead for the District's reprographics operation; coordinates the sequence, status, and day-to-day flow of assigned print-production work and communicates management-established priorities and schedules; provides task-specific technical instruction, demonstrations, and on-the-job training to Reprographics Technicians and other assigned staff without supervisory authority; performs complex prepress, graphic-design, digital-file preparation, print-production, quality-control, troubleshooting, estimating, records, inventory-monitoring, and equipment-maintenance-coordination duties; consults with District customers regarding job specifications, design, materials, production methods, and timelines; and performs related duties as assigned.
