Participate in a minimum of four professional development trainings yearly as provided for and requested by the Department of Guidance and Counseling, to include Career Clusters/Career Pathways; Special Education (SPED), English Language Learners (ELL) and Gifted and Talented (G/T) yearly updates; counseling topics, such as bullying, abuse/neglect, suicide prevention and intervention, student audits/PGP maintenance and other cogent topics as needed. Following the American School Counselor Association model, Ysleta Independent School District counselors provide for the academic, social/emotional, and career needs of each student through classroom guidance lessons, individual services, responsive services, and system support.
