Work generally does not involve occupational risk; however, failure to follow established procedures and safety practices could result in minor injury, e.g., minor cuts, needle punctures, bruises from falls on slippery floors, or back injuries sustained while assisting in moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials. The PET/CT Technologist will operate PET and CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images for detecting cancer, heart disease, and brain disorders.
