Microscopically examine slides thoroughly and systematically, evaluate the adequacy of specimens for diagnostic purposes; consider quantity, quality, and preservation of cellular material; evaluate cytopathologic observations as it relates to specimen source and advise supervisor or pathologist on non-conformities. Microscopically examine slide preparations for cytologic evaluation, correlating clinical information with morphologic findings to make a final diagnosis on negative gynecologic slides and render a microscopic evaluation on abnormal gynecologic and all non-gynecologic pending diagnosis by pathologist.
