Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in architecture, engineering, planning, or a closely related field; or a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field plus fifteen (15) years of direct construction project experience will substitute for the required education and experience; or fifteen + (15+) years of direct architectural, engineering, or construction management experience will substitute for the required education and experience; or current, valid registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect in the State of California will substitute for the required education and experience. Operating under administrative direction, this position plans, organizes, directs, and controls all phases of complex public building and infrastructure projects from initial concept through design, construction, and final contract closeout.
