Specifically, the Data Warehouse Developer will perform the following day-to-day job duties: Build and maintain Extraction, Transform, and Load (ETL) and Data Warehouse objects (including Transactional Replication/CDC, SQL Procedures, MicroStrategy semantic model, SSAS, MDS/DQS, BIML, PowerShell scripts); SSIS, Translate business requirements into detailed, production-level technical specifications and data models; Modify existing reports and/or develop new reports by analyzing databases, data sources, structures for the benefit of users; Use SQL including complex stored procedures, common table expressions, analytic and functions, query optimization, and indexing; Design, implement, and maintain normalized, operational data store, and dimensionally modeled database systems; Design and develop ETL processes while utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); Use object-oriented languages such as C#, PowerShell, or Python; Use Agile and Scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes, develop user stories, and work through backlogs; Understand data management and data warehousing technologies related to data modeling, database administration and performance tuning, archiving, and disaster recovery; Work with multi-terabyte data sets; Design and build enterprise conceptual or logical data models; and Contribute to the design and optimization of CDI's data layer as the company's single layer of the truth. Must have work experience in each of the following: 1) designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data warehouse and operational data store architectures, including normalized and dimensionally modeled systems, serving as a single source of truth across business domains; 2) architecting and maintaining sophisticated ETL pipelines leveraging SSIS, BIML, Transactional Replication and Change Data Capture, with an emphasis on scalability, data quality, and performance in high-volume environments; 3) developing and maintaining semantic models and analytical layers using platforms such as MicroStrategy and SSAS, enabling governed self-service analytics while abstracting complex data structures for business users; and 4) advanced SQL development, including complex stored procedures, analytic functions, query optimization, and indexing strategies, specifically tuned for multi-terabyte data environments and mission-critical reporting systems.
