The research program uses advanced neuroscience methods, including functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI/MRI), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), neuronavigation, clinical assessments, behavioral measures, and other multimodal approaches to investigate brain circuitry and develop and evaluate neuromodulation interventions for psychiatric and related conditions. Clinically, the department provides a full continuum of evidence-based treatments, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for obsessive-compulsive disorder, Tourette Syndrome, depression, and chronic pain, Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), and esketamine.
