Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience required License: RN License Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS required; CCRN preferred Must-Have: - Trach care and chest tube management - PIV starts - Glucommander - Insulin drips and heparin drips - Management of vasoactive medications - Monitoring and management of invasive lines (arterial lines, central venous lines, pulse oximetry, intracranial pressure monitoring) - Assistance and management of bedside procedures (chest tube placement/management, tracheostomy, PEG tube placement) - Ventilator support management Description: This position is for an ICU RN in a 14-bed medical intensive care unit. The unit provides care for patients with a variety of conditions such as respiratory failure, renal failure, sepsis, GI bleed, DKA, hypotension, hypertension, stroke, pneumonia, cancer, ARDS, and overdoses.
