We’re growing and looking for a talented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with a passion for pediatric care to join our team! <hr/> Position SummaryAs a Pediatric EFDA, you'll play a vital role in supporting our doctors and caring for our young patients. You will be instrumental in helping children feel at ease during treatment, assisting with a variety of procedures, and ensuring our clinical spaces run smoothly. <hr/> Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist pediatric dentists during a wide range of procedures, including sealants, fillings, crowns, and space maintainers</li><li>Take digital X-rays and impressions as needed</li><li>Provide clear communication and education to parents/guardians regarding home care and treatment plans</li><li>Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures</li><li>Comfort and guide anxious or nervous children with patience and compassion</li><li>Accurately chart and input treatment notes using dental software</li><li>Keep clinical rooms clean, stocked, and organized</li></ul> <hr/> What We’re Looking For<ul><li>Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification – Required</li><li>Radiology Certification – Required</li><li>1+ year of experience in a pediatric or general dental setting preferred</li><li>Excellent communication skills with both children and parents</li><li>Ability to stay calm, positive, and patient in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Open Dental experience is a plus</li><li>CPR/BLS certification</li></ul> <hr/> Why Join Dogwood?<ul><li>A team that feels like family</li><li>Supportive and structured training environment</li><li>Opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's health</li><li>Competitive pay based on experience</li><li>Benefits package available after introductory period (medical, dental, vision, PTO)</li><li>A playful and encouraging atmosphere where smiles happen every day</li></ul> <hr/> Ready to Join Our Family?If you’re an experienced EFDA who loves working with kids and wants to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to smiles and sunshine, we’d love to meet you!??"?
