This position performs journey-level technical work in the installation, operation, and maintenance of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) and/or the maintenance of building automated energy management systems (EMS) in campus-wide buildings and facilities; performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the maintenance and repair of air-conditioning systems and associated air handling, chilled water distribution, and control mechanisms; and performs related work as required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work environment may risk exposure to bright/dim light, dusts and pollen, extreme heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, extreme noise levels, vibration, fumes and/or noxious odors, moving machinery, electrical shock, heights, disease/pathogens, toxic/caustic chemicals.
