Uses appropriate teaching principles and adult learning methods to deliver information on a variety of perinatal topics, including pregnancy, labor, comfort measures and pain management, delivery, cesarean birth (C-section), birthing alternatives, postpartum, baby care, and tools to use during childbirth. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated knowledge of the child birthing process with a basic understanding of medical terminology, current trends in childbirth issues and practices, comfort measures/pain management, patient safety and privacy, and local/state/federal regulations.
