POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES MIGHT INCLUDE: Positions assigned to wastewater plant operations may be responsible for: Operating treatment systems and related processes; Performing minor facility and equipment maintenance; Monitoring plant and field processes and equipment including alarms, instruments and gauges; Checking pumps, motors, hydraulic lines, structures, pressure tanks and mechanical equipment for proper operation; Collecting samples and performing routine biological and chemical testing; Operating heavy equipment. Certification Pay: The City will pay one hundred dollars ($100) per pay period differential to employees who receive a Treatment Certificate T3, T4, TS, a Distribution Operator Certificate, D3, D4, D5, or a Wastewater Operator Certificate Grade III, IV, V, or a Collections Systems Maintenance Certification Grade III that is at least one ( 1) level above the minimum requirement of the classification they are occupying.
