This entry-to-associate level role focuses on creating accurate technical drawings and plats while learning advanced civil drafting practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to grow, and proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Draft and prepare plats, grading plans, alignment sheets, parcel surveys, and as-built drawings.</li><li>Read and interpret survey data and apply GEO coordinate systems.</li><li>Maintain accurate project files and documentation.</li><li>Provide drafting support to senior drafters and project staff.</li><li>Learn and apply survey laws, methods, and company drafting standards.</li><li>Accurately track and record work hours using company systems.</li><li>Collaborate with team members and adapt to changing project needs.</li><li>Participate in training and mentorship opportunities to expand technical skills.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>2+ years of experience in Civil Drafting & Design (Oil & Gas industry preferred).</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.</li><li>Knowledge of survey fundamentals, Meridian System, and BLM standards a plus.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs.</li><li>Willingness to participate in the DISA Compliance & Policy program.</li></ul></div>

This individual will be primarily responsible for setup and completion of drilling variable sized underground bore holes and pulling back required pipe. As a Directional Driller/Equipment Operator, you are responsible for running a variety of directional drilling equipment; Directional Drill, (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) Vac. Truck, Mud Truck, Excavator, Forklift, Dump truck, Locator, along with others not listed.This position includes travel opportunities. Higher wages apply for CDL A holders.<h4>What You'll Do</h4>Responsibilities: All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment. <ul><li>Locate for Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground pipe. </li><li>Ensure safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities. </li><li>Operate Horizontal Directional Drill </li><li>Assist in potholing and remediation. </li><li>Assist with setting hand holes and completing tie-ins. </li><li>Ability to Read and Comprehend utility locates. </li><li>Set equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machine. </li><li>Ability to properly formulate and mix drilling mud for the site conditions. </li><li>Ability to perform proper reaming and pull back methods for existing conditions. </li><li>Oversee laborers and/or crew members work and monitor time usage. </li><li>Ability to properly clean and maintain the equipment, check fluid levels, and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required reports, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment. </li><li>Communicates with Supervisor daily to turn in required reports (i.e. Bore log, vehicle maintenance reports, crew time logs etc.) </li><li>Follows specifications for the job and company policies. </li><li>Complies with safety procedures on and off the project site. </li><li>Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work. </li></ul><h4>What You'll Bring</h4>Qualifications: <ul><li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. </li><li>Possess a valid driver’s license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position. </li><li>A good driving record is required. </li><li>Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner. </li><li>Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner. </li><li>Class A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders). </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc. </li><li>Willing and able to work in all weather conditions. </li><li>Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry. </li><li>Knowledge of established Horizontal/Directional Drill Locator/ Operator procedures and techniques </li><li>Ability to perform Horizontal/Directional Drill Locator/ Operator procedures and duties. </li><li>Ability to travel. </li></ul>Working Conditions: This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. Physical Requirements: The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee will need to be able to regularly lift 75 pounds.
