Clinical duties encompass comprehensive care of the critically ill patient starting with initial resuscitation and management, continuing with the coordination of clinical care between intensivist teams and multiple consulting teams, counseling patients and their families on the details of their illness, care and decision making process, concluding with patients/family preparation for discharge from the ICU. Work in a Supportive & Collaborative Environment: Our Critical Care APPs work in collaboration with critical care attending physicians to manage patients in Specialty Intensive Care Units, and are leaders in collaboration and education, working with ICU staff from nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and nutrition services.
