The Physician is responsible for providing medical leadership to advanced practice providers such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. The Physician will function in collaboration with providers according to a Collaboration Arrangement. Performs a physical exam based upon the age and patient history. Identifies significant health and medical risk factors. </li><li style="color:rgb( 8 , 78 , 142 );font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Orders, interprets and evaluates laboratory tests and other diagnostic studies to assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Develops a diagnosis by analyzing and synthesizing collected data </li><li style="color:rgb( 8 , 78 , 142 );font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Performs diagnostic of therapeutic interventions consistent with certification, law and state medical privileges. May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by prescriptive authority through the appropriate State Board Agency. </li><li style="color:rgb( 8 , 78 , 142 );font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Develops a treatment plan in collaboration with the patient and significant others to include Medicare, CMS, Ancillary services, and treatment. Collaborates with nursing, medical and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care. </li><li style="color:rgb( 8 , 78 , 142 );font-family:'verdana' , 'geneva' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Refers patients to providers as appropriate for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatment.
