This role supports mining operations and may include day/night shifts with overtime depending on the job.  Key responsibilities<ul><li>Operate rock drills safely and efficiently; maintain consistent production</li><li>Read/monitor ground conditions and adjust technique to reduce wear and downtime </li><li>Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance/upkeep</li><li>Follow MSHA/safety policies and maintain clean documentation as required</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3 to 5 or more years of drilling experience (senior-level)</li><li>Experienced in Sandvik Di650 Leapord DTH Rigs or similar. SCOPE OF POSITION ConeTec is an industry-leading provider of geotechnical site investigation services and specializes in the testing of subsurface conditions in unique environments. A successful Assistant Field Operator will be a quick study, able to learn and intuit the steps for each activity to provide the Field Operator and Field Engineer with any help they might require; and in time, doing so instinctively. As a Directional Driller/Equipment Operator, you are responsible for running a variety of directional drilling equipment; Directional Drill, (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) Vac.
