Examples of Duties and Responsibilities: Operates Heliarc, ARC, and MIG welding machines in accordance with Fab Shop procedures and plant specifications; Follows blueprints, production drawings, production procedures, and instructions; Confers with various departmental representatives to verify engineering plans, drawings, and specifications; Performs hand burning and gas welding; Repairs welds and structural welds; Cleans shop and maintains work areas and equipment; Operates drill press, occasionally, with instruction from supervisor; Sets up, operates, and adjusts related production equipment as needed, including hand brake, sheet metal shears, grinder, lathe, saw cutter, and hand tools.
