The Role: How You’ll Make an Impact As a Community Employment Specialist, you aren’t just a job coach—you are a bridge builder, an advocate, and a champion for independence. You will work directly in the community to help individuals with developmental disabilities find, secure, and thrive in meaningful employment and volunteer roles. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Coach & Mentor: Provide hands-on training, guidance, and encouragement to individuals at their job or volunteer sites, helping them master tasks and build confidence. Teach Life Skills: Help individuals develop vital communication and independent living skills that set them up for long-term success.</li><li>Build Partnerships: Foster positive relationships with local employers and volunteer organizations to ensure a supportive environment for the individuals we serve.</li><li>Provide a Lift: Safely transport individuals to and from their community employment and volunteer sites.</li><li>Advocate & Document: Keep accurate, confidential records of progress and milestones, ensuring we are constantly centering the needs, desires, and rights of those we support.
