There are multiple opportunities for interdisciplinary teaching, including courses that meet Core Curriculum requirements such as the proficiency in Cross-Cultural Understanding/Diversity; colloquia on race and racism in the Development of Western Civilization Program, and courses cross listed with other relevant programs such as English, History, Sociology and Anthropology, American Studies, Education, Social Work, Political Science, Women's and Gender Studies, Public and Community Service, and Health Policy and Management. D. in hand in Black Studies, Africana Studies, African Studies, or any associated discipline with a focus on the interdisciplinary study of African-descended people, anti-Black racism, racial justice, or collective forms of resistance to racism and its intersections with other systems of oppression.
