li>Provides focused live Class Connect sessions, up to five days per week in small group sessions, and coordinated delivery of additional instructional support through a dedicated Learning Management System (LMS) locally developed Intervention non-credit course;
Creates a library of "clean" mini-recordings on identified weak topics or student expectations (TEKS) to share with assigned intervention students, as well as to share with regular teachers of aligned subjects;
Attends weekly Intervention department meetings;
Attends weekly/biweekly individualized meetings with the Coordinator to review current data and plan instruction;
Develops weekly live session teaching plans;
Analyzes benchmark, checkpoint and state assessment data to create an instructional plan for interventions;
Participates in professional development for Interventionists specifically focused on research-based strategies for intervention/tutorial instruction;
Contributes to Student Achievement Improvement Plan (SAIP);
Collaborates with peers in order to provide a positive experience for students;
Builds community by contributing to school message boards, newsletters and events;
Travels to and participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions;
Maintains records regarding students in accordance with school policy and state requirements; prepare reports regarding students and classroom matters as directed;
Participates in committees as required. The Intervention Teacher is a highly qualified, state certified teacher who is responsible for delivering academic intervention beyond the General Education classroom to At-Risk students in both Synchronous and Asynchronous environments to reduce the disparity in academic performance on State assessment instrument administered under Subchapter B, Chapter 39 TEC in Math and Reading and to reduce the disparity in the rates of high school completion between students at risk of dropping out of school and all other LEA students.
