This work involves application of engineering principles for design of a wide variety of electrical systems including underground/overhead distribution, installation of transformers and switchgear, substations, unit subs, MCCs, plant & building power, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, communication networks, grounding systems, and lightning protection systems. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, design engineers interface with other teams across the complex including controls, instrumentation, test ops engineer, system engineers, facility data analysis, and modeling and simulation engineers to ensure reliable operation and ability to meet future test needs.
