Perform a variety of roles and responsibilities which may include the following: Participate in personal care interventions to patients of all ages, under the direction of nursing staff, provide meal tray preparation, feeding, recording intake and output, bathing, shaving, changing clothing, cleaning and trimming fingernails, bed-making, assisting with ambulation, enemas, skin care, and bowel and bladder elimination; provide such additional care as required to meet the personal needs and comfort of assigned patients. Perform a variety of EKG technician tasks as required, to include: routine and STAT EKGs, order verification and electronic transmission of EKGs, accommodation of special EKG requests, i.e., with or without magnet or right sided EKG tracings, the stocking and maintenance of EKG machines, and the retrieval of old EKGs from the Heart Station.
