Reports and pictures recorded onto field computer files for submittal to Pima County for review; Verification of compliance for project material certification prior to placement; Supervise Consultant Inspectors when needed; Resolve issues with the Contractor over project work or escalate issues as appropriate for larger problems; Attend project weekly meetings, oversee materials and labor quantities for force account sheets and change orders; Monthly review and acceptance of project pay item quantities for monthly pay estimate approval by Project Manager; Review and approve traffic control plans (ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor Certification will be required, but PCDOT will send the successful applicant to training if they do not already have this certification). Two years of experience with Pima County in a Public Works Construction Inspector I, Building Inspector I or similar level position as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment which is responsible for inspecting public works construction projects.
