Works with engineering personnel to devise modification plans; works from detailed prints, schematics and drawings and verbal or written instructions; tests and analyzes data to effect proper maintenance to low voltage systems including: DC drive and variable speed (or frequency) drive motor controllers, UPS systems and related components, fire protection systems (fire alarms and fire suppression) electronic lock and security systems, elevators systems (traction and hydraulic), lifting device systems (derricks, cranes, hoists, etc.) and other PLC driven systems. Must be pre-screened and approved by the Electronic Control Review Committee to ensure successful completion of an electronics vocational program, electronics military school or electronics apprenticeship program and minimum of 5 years directly related electronics experience may be substituted for educational requirements) plus minimum of 4 years’ experience in industrial electricity.
