Provide advisory and technical support to the department for the maintenance, repair, and modernization of major building and physical plant systems, including interior electrical power distribution systems, lighting systems, power generation systems, automatic transfer switches, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, power conditioning systems, solid-state electronic controls (e.g., variable frequency drives [VFDs]), energy metering systems, lightning protection and grounding systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems, low-voltage communication systems (e.g., public address systems), video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, and electronic security systems. Coordination and technical oversight of electrical construction, maintenance, repair, and modernization projects at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS)Support the planning, design review, scheduling, coordination, execution, and commissioning of projects involving facility electrical systems, including interior power distribution, emergency power systems, automatic transfer switches (ATS), uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, low-voltage communication systems, electronic security systems, and associated building electrical infrastructure.
