Position Summary: The Quality Coordinator is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities related to the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage substation infrastructure. This role ensures that engineering deliverables, construction activities, and system testing comply with applicable codes, project specifications, and industry standards. The position works closely with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to verify technical accuracy, support utility interconnection requirements, and ensure reliable system performance prior to energization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul style="margin-bottom:13px"><li style="text-align:justify;margin-bottom:13px">Administration of the MMR Project Quality Plan (PQP). </li><li>Develop and implement project quality plans (PQP) and Quality Assurance processes to ensure consistent quality standards across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Coordinate with project managers, utilities, engineering teams, contractors, sub-contractors and third-party inspectors to resolve quality issues, support project execution, and maintain alignment with project quality objectives.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Attend quality kick-off and progress meetings as necessary </li><li>Identify quality issues or non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective or preventive actions to mitigate risk and improve overall project quality performance.</li><li>Plan and perform internal and external quality audits, field inspections, and site visits to verify that high-voltage construction and installation activities align with approved engineering documents, project specifications, and quality requirements.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Assist in the Subcontractor Prequalification Procedure as outlined in MMR’s Material and Equipment Procurement Plan, latest edition</li><li style="text-align:justify">Assist with review of provided drawings, specifications, approved RFI’s and submittals, etc. for quality requirements</li><li style="text-align:justify">Prior to any inspection and/or testing activities, help coordinate the inspection and test plan (ITP) which includes audit, hold, monitor, and witness points to be discussed and approved by client, owner, engineer, etc.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Coordinate and/or attend MMR vendor, supplier, and/or safety training required to maintain regulatory compliance(s)</li><li style="text-align:justify">Must comply with all MMR procedures and policies</li><li style="text-align:justify">Must comply with all MMR safety and client safety protocols required on the jobsite</li><li style="text-align:justify">Develop and implement project quality plans (PQP) and Quality Assurance processes to ensure</li><li style="text-align:justify">Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards including IEEE, NESC, NEC, ANSI, OSHA, and project-specific regulatory or client requirements.</li><li style="text-align:justify;margin-bottom:13px">Must have the ability to travel to and from jobsite via personal vehicle or other forms of public transportation</li></ul>Qualifications/Experience/Skills:<ul style="margin-bottom:13px"><li class="CM6" style="margin-right:6px;margin-left:8px;text-align:justify">College degree, high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li style="margin-bottom:13px;margin-left:8px">Must have the ability to read blueprints and drawings, as well as referencing technical manuals pertaining to specifications and plans</li><li style="margin-bottom:13px;margin-left:8px">Eight years (min.) experience physically installing electrical and/or instrumentation (E&I) components in addition to five years (min.) experience as a QC Inspector/Sr. QC Inspector verifying E&I installations and testing</li><li style="margin-bottom:13px;margin-left:8px">Note: Exception to the minimum years required would be if the applicant holds a state electrical license, NCCER certified (knowledge and performance), or MMR certified (successfully completes Baton Rouge Training Center).</li></ul>**Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
