Tasks that the ER Appointment Technician may be asked to perform include triage, gathering and documenting patient histories and exam findings, restraint, venipuncture/phlebotomy, SQ/IM/IV injections, catheter placement, sedation of patients, performing radiographs, filling prescriptions, submission of requests using the electronic medical record, invoicing, etc. Must be able to frequently positon self in a manner to attend to patients at varying heights, including floor and exam table levels (3 – 4 feet in height) as well as elevated heights greater than 5 feet.
