The EMT-P will show a thorough knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services; thorough knowledge of modern EMS principles, procedures, techniques, and equipment; good knowledge of medical physiology, medical terminology, the assessment and management of medical and trauma emergencies; working knowledge of the routine maintenance and minor repair of motor vehicles; ability to administer CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support; ability to lift and move a 50-75 lb.
