Respond to actual or potential aircraft emergencies, structure fire, technical rescue, medical calls, and facility/plant emergencies to prevent or extinguish fires, rescue personnel, administer firstaid, and protect property for the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority including Harrisburg International Airport, a commercial service small hub airport that serves approximately 1.3 million passengers annually as well as Capital City, Gettysburg, and Franklin County Regional Airports and Mutual Aid Requests. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to high stress and life-threatening situations, regular extended continuous work schedules, moving mechanical parts, moving machinery, nip points, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, all types of weather and temperature conditions including extreme cold and heat, and winter conditions, fire, hazardous chemicals and infectious substances, and risk of electrical shock.
