Perform procedures including: the placement of intravenous lines, intubation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, 3 lead and 12 lead EKG interpretation, defibrillation, chest decompression and medication administration- Possess a broad based knowledge of emergency medicine including both basic and advanced life support and a strong understanding of the appropriate pharmacological intervention in life threatening situations- Assure ambulances are fully stocked and ready for service at the start of each shift, assuring all equipment is in good working order. Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
