Assists physicians and nursing staff with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care depending on assigned department, including but not limited to: Venipuncture, point of care testing including newborn screening, hearing, and CCHD testing, patient transport, assist patients with ADLs, assist patients with ambulation, 12 lead EKG’s, initiation of cardiac monitoring, CPR, and urinary catheterization. Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served (i.e. infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric), coordinated and delegated by licensed nursing personnel.
