Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an open pit mining environment, Excellent understanding of economic geology and mineral deposits, Excellent understanding of exploration drilling techniques, Sampling Theory, and QA/QC, Strong leadership abilities in a production situation, Knowledgeable in data management and geological and resource estimation tools, Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, Ability to work effectively as part of a team effort as well as individually, Strong interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills, Ability to work with all levels of the organization, Experience as a qualified person working with Technical Reports (S-K 1300/NI 43-101), Excellent working knowledge of software such as Vulcan, Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Microsoft Project, Good written and oral communication and presentation skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Manage and oversee all employees within the Mine Geology group, Manage and oversee all mine geology and geotechnical engineering activities, Ensure ongoing effective management of staff by setting clear performance goals, providing regular feedback and development through training.
