DescriptionIn this role you will report directly into the VP of Engineering and be responsible for: Leading end‑to‑end technical program execution for chemistry‑, plating‑, and metallurgical‑focused development programsManaging a program team of early‑career engineers, setting priorities, assigning work, and driving day‑to‑day executionFacilitating customer programs from design to testing, analysis, reporting, and final deliveryWorking hands‑on in the R&D lab with metal alloys, plating baths, chemical solutions, and characterization methodsTroubleshooting highly technical issues at the materials, grain‑structure, and electrochemical levelsCoordinating cross‑functional work across Engineering, R&D, Operations, and customer teams to ensure program successPreparing polished updates, technical summaries, and progress reports for customers and senior leadershipOverseeing sample builds, small‑batch trials, plating evaluations, and process development activitiesDriving program schedules, risk identification, resource allocation, and milestone achievementSupporting global commercialization efforts, including periodic international travel ProfileA successful candidate will have: 10-15 years of experience in materials engineering, chemical engineering, or metallurgical scienceAt least 3 years managing engineering programsExperience working with metal alloys, electroplating, corrosion science, surface treatments, or related chemical processesBS or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgical Engineering Experience supervising small project teams and guiding early‑career engineersExperience supporting customer programs, including presenting technical findings and managing expectationsA track record of solving complex, chemistry‑ and materials‑driven technical problems in a lab environmentExperience coordinating design, test, analysis, and process optimization activitiesStrong communication skills, with the ability to deliver polished updates to executives and external partners Job OfferThe candidate will receive.
