Master's degree from an accredited college or university in education, special education, behavioral sciences, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field; two (2) years of experience providing educational, behavioral, instructional, or related services in PK-12 educational settings; and a current, valid Mississippi teaching license or eligibility to obtain Mississippi teaching licensure within six (6) months of employment; OR. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with either National Board Certification or evidence of substantial, recent, and relevant professional learning, such as micro-credentials or certificate programs; five (5) years of directly related professional experience in PK-12 educational settings; and a current, valid Mississippi teaching license or eligibility to obtain Mississippi teaching licensure within six (6) months of employment.
