Assists in monitoring maintenance, inspections, testing, and reporting of hospital utility systems, including testing and maintenance of HVAC systems, normal and emergency power systems, isolated power systems, hot and cold domestic water distribution systems, heating and chilled water distribution systems, medical gas systems, fire protection and extinguishing systems, negative pressure isolation rooms and all other emergency backup systems; recommends changes in inspection policies and procedures as required. Knowledge of the construction, operation, maintenance, application, properties and limits of electrical equipment and systems primarily found in large medical and dental facilities, multi-story office buildings and research facilities i.e. complex hospital systems, environmental control systems, emergency power systems, life support systems and a host of other areas that generally involve patient care and research.
