This role plays a key part in improving safety, reducing downtime, enhancing equipment performance, and executing assigned projects. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, coordinating repairs, supporting installations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)<ul><li>Uphold all facility EHS policies and procedures while proactively identifying and implementing opportunities to strengthen overall EHS performance. </li><li>Ensure strict adherence to Electrical Safety and Lockout/Tagout requirements. </li></ul>Manufacturing & Technical Support<ul><li>Assess customer and plant needs by identifying issues, defining project scope, and developing effective technical solutions. </li><li>Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and process-related equipment to ensure rapid and reliable recovery. </li><li>Conduct research and prepare cost estimates for scheduled and emergency repairs, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to minimize downtime. </li><li>Recommend and implement equipment modifications to improve productivity, quality, and waste reduction. </li></ul>Equipment & SystemsSupport a wide range of flexiblepackaging converting equipment, including: <ul><li>Flexographic and Rotogravure presses </li><li>Adhesive laminators </li><li>Extrusion coaters </li><li>Slitter rewinders </li><li>Facilities and HVAC systems </li><li>Auxiliary production support equipment </li></ul>Documentation & Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Create, update, and maintain standard work procedures and correctiveaction documentation using MP2 and other systems. </li><li>Track and record labor, cost, and troubleshooting history to drive continuous improvement. </li><li>Maintain standard operating conditions to ensure consistent equipment performance. </li></ul>Training & Leadership<ul><li>Train, mentor, and support colleagues on proper equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. </li><li>Develop new or revised standard work, TPM schedules, and training materials aligned with equipment changes. </li><li>Serve as a daily Change Agent by fostering strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. </li></ul>Project Execution<ul><li>Develop engineering packages for assigned projects, including drawings, calculations, schematics, manuals, and layouts. </li><li>Partner with purchasing to source project materials, evaluate vendor options, negotiate pricing when applicable, and expedite delivery. </li><li>Coordinate installation, checkout, startup, and training activities. </li><li>Complete all project documentation in a timely and accurate manner. </li></ul>Facility Support<ul><li>Provide leadership and support during plant Clean & Check events and assist with facility maintenance issues to help maintain production continuity. </li></ul>Knowledge, Skills & Requirements Required:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field - or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience. </li><li>7+ years of experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Availability to work a 3223, 12hour rotating day shift schedule with oncall responsibility every other month. </li><li>Continued learning through trade journals, trade shows, technical seminars, and supplier relationships. </li><li>Extensive experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment in an electrical support capacity. </li><li>Solid interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers, contractors, and internal partners. </li><li>Advanced analytical, problemsolving, and timemanagement abilities to manage daily tasks alongside multiple ongoing projects. </li><li>Proficiency with computer systems, networked environments, PLC applications, Microsoft Office, and CAD software. </li><li>Solid understanding of flexible packaging manufacturing processes including flexographic printing, rotogravure, extrusion, adhesive laminating, and slitting. </li><li>Proven knowledge of process support equipment such as PLCs, AC/DC drives, chillers, air compressors, catalytic oxidizers, burner/oven controls, electrical distribution systems, MCCs, and solvent reclaim systems. </li><li>Ability to work various hours as needed to support projects, breakdowns, absences, or emergencies, </li></ul>Physical Requirements <ul><li>Ability to stand and work for extended periods in a production environment. </li><li>Exposure to varying noise levels, temperature changes, and odors associated with manufacturing. </li><li>Frequent use of computer equipment requiring manual dexterity. </li><li>Occasional travel of less than 10%. </li></ul>#LI-onsite OurExpectations We expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
