At Air Reading, we believe every child deserves access to high-quality literacy support — and every teacher deserves the tools to make a lasting difference. We partner with elementary schools to deliver research-driven small-group reading instruction, helping students catch up and thrive.Air Reading is also a place where teachers grow professionally. Our teachers gain hands-on experience with the Science of Reading, use structured phonics-based methods, and receive continuous coaching and resources to strengthen their craft. Many teachers tell us that the skills they develop at Air Reading become a powerful foundation for advancing their careers in education. Responsibilities <ul><li>Deliver engaging online reading lessons via Zoom to groups of up to 4 students in 30–40 minute sessions.</li><li>Be available to teach during school-day and after-school windows (Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. PST).</li><li>Teach with a fully prepared curriculum that includes step-by-step guidance.</li><li>Share timely feedback on student progress.</li><li>Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment that supports both student success and teacher growth. </li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher.</li><li>Proficiency with Zoom and other digital teaching platforms.</li><li>U.S. work authorization.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with young learners. </li></ul>Preferred QualificationsThese are helpful but not mandatory — we welcome teachers who don’t meet every item:<ul><li>Bilingual (Spanish/English).</li><li>Degree in education, English, literacy, or a related subject.</li><li>Experience teaching phonics or early reading to K–3 students. </li></ul>Position Details<ul><li>Compensation: Up to $24/hour</li><li>Job Type: Contract</li><li>Location: Remote</li><li>Flexible, Monday–Friday with teaching opportunities between 6 a.m.–5 p.m. PST </li></ul>Learn more about Air ReadingOur approach is backed by evidence.
