Candidates should have a strong understanding of the unique facility design considerations associated with energetics manufacturing and processing environments, including process equipment and utilities, hazardous material handling, process safety, ventilation, fire protection, electrical systems, facility layout, material flow, and separation and siting requirements. This role requires extensive knowledge of DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Instructions, building codes, and other facility requirements relevant to renovation and construction of U.S. Navy energetics facilities.
