At Georgia-Pacific, we're looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager (EH&S) who will take ownership of the environmental, health, and safety strategy at our Albany, GA corrugated packaging facility. This is a high-impact role with a clear mission: protect our people, our environment, and our business-while developing a strong culture of ownership and continuous improvement. You'll report to the Director of Operations and work closely with frontline leaders, engineers, and employees across all levels of the facility. Explore what it's like to work in our Corrugated division: How Corrugated Boxes Are Made - Georgia-Pacific Georgia-Pacific: Corrugated Overview Visit gppackaging.com to learn moreWhat You Will Do<ul><li> Provide leadership and strategic direction to achieve a proactive EHS culture through both management engagement and employee ownership. </li><li> Align plant-level safety and environmental programs with enterprise vision and regulatory expectations. </li><li> Manage and maintain environmental permits, documentation, and compliance reporting (air, stormwater, etc.). </li><li> Lead risk assessment processes to proactively identify and address hazards-enhancing critical hazard awareness and minimizing risk. </li><li> Champion a strong safety culture through mentoring, coaching, and collaboration across all levels. </li><li> Build and support EHS training and development systems that ensure continuous learning and regulatory compliance. </li><li> Facilitate the safety committee and change management processes, helping the team respond effectively to evolving safety standards. </li><li> Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies. </li></ul>Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)<ul><li> Experience in an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) role in a manufacturing, industrial, or military setting </li><li> Experience with OSHA standards and EH&S regulatory compliance </li><li> Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions </li><li> Experience leading safety training, conduct audits, and management of compliance documentation </li></ul>What Will Put You Ahead<ul><li> Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Safety </li><li> Experience managing environmental permitting and regulatory reporting (air, stormwater, etc.) </li><li> Experience with industrial hygiene monitoring (e.g., noise, dust, carbon monoxide) </li><li> Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification </li><li> Experience in corrugated manufacturing or paper converting environments </li><li> Experience with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) practices </li><li> Experience in key risk areas such as Hazardous Energy Control (LOTO), mobile equipment, and pedestrian safety </li></ul>At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
