Develops and reviews SVH Safety Management, Fire Safety Management, Hazardous Materials Management, Interim Life Safety Measures, Injury Illness Prevention, and Healthcare Worker Respiratory Protection plans incorporating changes as required by OSHA, JCAHO, CDPH, and CMS. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager (EHSM) reports to the Vice President of Emergency Management, Safety, and Security (VPEMSS), and is responsible for development and enforcement of policies and procedures that establish and promote safety within the physical environment of care for both the Medical Center and associated facilities for the benefit of patients, visitors, employees, and all other occupants.
