The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent federal projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. This position requires a strong understanding of Department of Defense contracting practices-particularly with NAVFAC, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and other federal agencies. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of environmental and UXO-related projects in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, subcontractors, and risk to ensure safe and compliant operations.</li><li>Coordinate closely with regulatory agencies, federal clients, and internal teams to ensure environmental and munitions response objectives are met.</li><li>Oversee and ensure accuracy of project financials, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and timesheet tracking.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA) and DoD explosive safety requirements (e.g., DDESB guidelines, EM 385-1-97).</li><li>Supervise the preparation of work plans, health and safety plans, quality control plans, and technical reports.</li><li>Maintain strict compliance with government contracting principles, FAR/DFARS regulations, and agency-specific policies (e.g., NAVFAC, USACE).</li><li>Regularly communicate project status, risks, and achievements to senior leadership and clients.</li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field. Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Piedmont Wildlife Center is currently seeking seasonal, part-time Summer Aftercare Counselors.About Our Organization: Piedmont Wildlife Center is a Durham-based non-profit organization encouraging conservation and inspiring people to build lifelong connections with nature through immersive outdoor education, citizen science, and wildlife stewardship. We pursue this mission through afterschool, homeschool, and year-round camp programming in the great outdoors. The Center also offers conservation-focused field trips and outreach programs with our Ambassador Animals.Land Acknowledgment: Our camps operate out of Leigh Farm Park in Durham County and Blackwood Farm Park in Orange County. Both parks are remnants of 19th-century plantations and are on land that was once part of the shared territory of Saponi, Tuscarora, Occaneechi, Cheraw, Eno, Shakori, Catawba, and Lumbee nations. The county parks departments have preserved multiple historic structures in our locations. In addition, we operate camps at Umstead State Park in Wake County which was once a segregated park and indigenous territory. It is imperative that we discuss this history with our staff and campers, amplify the stories of the indigenous and enslaved peoples who cared for the land and continue learning about and examining the parks’ legacy.  Position Summary: Aftercare Counselors step in at the end of a full camp day. Ideal persons for this position are able to lead a group of inter-aged children in a public park with another counselor. Counselors will spend time with campers leading activities such as crafts, games, nature exploration, and free play while facilitating pick-up. Whether experienced in education, naturalist skills, environmental science, and/or outdoor recreation, counselors should be passionate about sharing their unique skillset with campers, helping them develop their own connection to nature, and inspiring them to protect the natural world around them. This position is available at our Durham, Orange, and Wake county locations.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Facilitate outdoor camp activities focused on environmental education.</li><li>Supervise camper safety and enforce activity policies</li><li>Communicate with co-counselors, program managers, and parents about program outcomes and camper behavior.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Knowledge of local ecology or tracking and survival skills</li><li>Childcare and/or education experience</li><li>Leadership experience</li></ul>Schedule: <ul><li>Mandatory staff training is June 8th-12th</li><li>Summer Aftercare programming runs June 15 through August 21, 2026, 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm M - F. </li></ul>Pay: $15/hr
