Under supervision of a supervisory official in a state department or agency, takes the lead in the operation, maintenance, adjustment, repair, and servicing for a complex or group of buildings with not less than 1,000 combined tons of cooling and 1,000 boiler horse power, air conditioning and heating system units, and auxiliary equipment, or where heating is supplied by a cogeneration plant, or where boiler operation is not applicable; does other related duties as required. Knowledge of problems, procedures, methods, operating characteristics, controls, adjustments, repairs, safety devices, water flow, air flow, electrical diagnosis, and repairs common to heating systems, air conditioning systems, and nontoxic refrigeration systems in both boilers, chillers, and rooftop units.
