YesEssential Functions-Coordinate and monitor the status of established genetics patients, including tracking pending clinical work-up and follow-up activities.-Review clinic schedules to identify patients who may require prenatal genetic counseling services.-Serve as a liaison between referring providers and the genetic counseling team to facilitate communication and care coordination.-Support the coordination and delivery of cancer and prenatal genetic counseling services.-Collaborate with laboratories, genetic counselors, clinicians, and other stakeholders regarding genetic testing, referrals, sample collection, status updates, and follow-up.-Communicate with patients regarding appointments, testing, and other care-related needs under the direction of the genetic counseling team.-Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record.-Build and maintain positive working relationships with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams.-Assist with research initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and educational projects as needed.
