The Director provides leadership and direction to the HIM Supervisors and HIM staff and collaborates with clinical, administrative, financial, compliance, and information technology departments to ensure health information is accurate, secure, accessible, and managed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and MCNDH policies. The Director is responsible for department operations, compliance, medical record integrity, Release of Information, coding, and documentation oversight, quality improvement, data management, budgeting, staff development, and regulatory readiness.
